The Jakobsdal Splitting Axe features a 2 lb. Swedish splitting-pattern head, hand-forged from high-quality Swedish steel at the historic Hults Bruk forge. Precision-sharpened for explosive splitting power, it’s ideal for making firewood or kindling. The 20” curved American hickory handle offers packable convenience for the trail or truck while ensuring a solid grip and control. Crafted from high-quality Swedish steel at Hults Bruk, this axe combines traditional Swedish craftsmanship with durability built to last a lifetime. Its main applications are splitting firewood, kindling, and clearing.

The story behind the name: North of Lake Ågelsjön, a garden named Jakobsdal was created at the end of the 16th century by Hults Bruk owner Eran Graver. More than just a landscape, Jakobsdal was a personal vision – a cultivated reflection of harmony between nature and industry. The Jakobsdal axe embodies this balance, celebrating both the beauty and the toil that shaped our shared heritage.
