The Kvillinge Splitting Axe is a powerful, well-balanced tool designed for splitting medium to large logs. Its wedge-shaped, weighted head drives deep into wood, while the curved edge reduces bounce and helps turn logs without sticking. Despite its substantial weight, the axe feels controlled and responsive in hand. A slightly curved hickory handle provides excellent balance, strength, and swing control. Hand-forged from high-quality steel at Hults Bruk, this axe is inspired by classic Swedish splitting designs and built to last a lifetime with proper care. The head weighs 4.2 lb and is paired with a 32″ handle for optimal reach and leverage. Its main applications are splitting, clearing and chopping.
